Statement of Faith
Purpose of Statement of Faith: “But I urge and entreat you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in perfect harmony and full agreement in what you say, and that there be no dissensions or factions or divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions and judgments” (1 Corinthians 1:10, (Amp)
We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto good works. (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe there is one God who is eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son [Jesus], and God the Holy Spirit. (see Matthew 3:16-17)
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and by the blood of Jesus Christ. We believe that all must be “born again” to enter the Kingdom of God and that one must believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. We believe that genuine repentance proves itself by fruits of a changed life. We believe that Jesus came in the flesh. (see John 3:3, Romans 10:9-10, 2 Cor 7:9-10, 2 Cor 5:17, Romans 5:9, Eph 2:13, 1 John 1:7, 1 John 4:2)
We believe that baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, John 7:38-39 and John 14:16-17, is given to the believers who are genuinely born again. (see Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:13)
We believe in the operation of the ministry gifts and gifts of the Spirit for the perfecting of the ministry, and edifying of the body of Christ; understanding when the gifts are manifested, God gets all the glory. (see Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 28)
We believe that giving is part of worshipping and honoring God and that one must give God his or her best, which is the first fruit of our increase, and funds are to be used to help the local church or ministry and as a way of meeting needs. (see Proverbs 3:9-10, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Malachi 3:8-12, Luke 6:38)
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at his return (see 1Thessalonians 4:16-17)
